Academic Performance:
May and August 2009 graduates were accepted contingent upon satisfactory completion of courses and submission of a final transcript reflecting the date of the bachelor’s or master’s degree. If you fit into this category, kindly request your school to forward a final copy of the transcript, inclusive of the degree and award date to the Graduate School as soon as possible after graduation.  An official transcript must be on file before you matriculate. If your official transcript can not be released prior to August 1, 2009, please contact Ms. Susan Pierce, Registrar, at spierce@wfubmc.edu to notify her of your situation.

Student Contact Information:
Please keep us informed of your current address and contact information at all times.  A student demographic sheet is provided for you to complete and return it to the Graduate School as soon as possible in order for the staff to have updated contact information over the summer months.

Health/Dental Insurance:
All students are required to have health insurance. If you are covered under an individual or parental plan, please complete the "Health Insurance Verification" section ON the attached student demographic sheet. If you need coverage, a student plan from United HealthCare is available.

The cost for coverage is $207.00 a month for the 2009-2010 academic year. You will receive a supplement in the amount of $150.00 to help cover the cost, leaving a final cost to the student of only $57.00 a month which may be payroll deducted. Dental insurance is also available through United HealthCare at a rate of $25.41 per month.

Please note: The $150.00 health insurance supplement is only available to students if they choose to enroll in the student health plan from United Healthcare.

Information on the new health plan may be found at the following website - http://graduate.wfu.edu/students/bg_healthinsur.html. On Wednesday, August 5th at 1:30 PM you are scheduled to meet with representatives from United HealthCare who will be available to answer questions about their health and dental plans, and to help with the enrollment process. Enrollment packages will be handed out at that time. If you plan on enrolling in either the heath or dental policies, coverage will be retroactive to August 1, 2009.
