Welcome to the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs
The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs was established in 2008 to expand and enhance the education and training opportunities for Wake Forest postdoctoral investigators. Postdoctoral Researchers are one of the most important sources of creative productivity in the sciences. Having newly emerged from graduate training, they are prepared to become partners in research. This is a time for taking on greater independence and new roles. These roles include the development of leadership and mentoring skills in the laboratories in which they work to produce cutting edge research. Our postdoctoral scholars are often the first to make significant discoveries, because of their unique ability to reach across disciplines in pursuit of collaborative opportunities that often produce the most exciting new scientific advances. The primary mission of the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs is to establish, support and promote scientific and professional training opportunities for our postdoctoral colleagues.
