Faculty Highlights - Division of Public Health Sciences
The Division of Public Health Sciences (PHS) of Wake Forest University School of Medicine recognized seven outstanding members of its division at its biennial PHS Faculty Awards Reception on May 21, 2009.
Following is a list of the seven award recipients:
Claudine Legault, Ph.D., Faculty Mentoring Award, for excellent contributions to the division and institution through mentoring and co-mentoring colleagues in their professional and personal development.
Scott Rushing, B.S., Institutional and Divisional Service Award, for dedicated administrative service and innovative leadership that have been instrumental to the success of the division and Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
Erin Sutfin, Ph.D., Outstanding Early Career Faculty Research Award, for exceptional contributions at the early career level to a medical research discipline, through publications, presentations, and research grants and collaborations.
Laura Coker, Ph.D., Outstanding Mid-Career Faculty Research Award, for
exceptional contributions at the mid-career level to a medical research discipline, through publications, presentations, and research grants and collaborations.
Ralph D'Agostino Jr., Ph.D., Outstanding Senior Faculty Research Award, for
exceptional contributions at the senior level to a medical research discipline, through publications, presentations, and research grants and collaborations.
Robert Byington, Ph.D., Professional and Community Service Award, for long-standing success in developing exceptional programs to address the public health needs of the greater community and expand the public outreach efforts of the division and the institution.
Alain Bertoni, M.D., M.P.H., Teaching and Educational Service Award, for best exemplifying the teaching mission of the institution through distinguished instruction and mentoring of students and exemplary service in the medical school and/or graduate programs.
