Winston-Salem bullet City of Winston-Salem

The city of Winston-Salem is located at the intersection of east/west bound Interstate 40 and north/south bound U.S. 52. Business 40 (accessed just inside the Forsyth county line on the east side of the city, and after the Clemonville exits on the west side of the city) runs just to the south of downtown. Exits to the two campuses of Wake Forest University will be found on Business 40.

bullet Bowman Gray Campus

The Bowman Gray campus of Wake Forest University is easily accessible from Business 40, Winston-Salem's downtown expressway. Most roads leading to Winston-Salem either cross Business 40 or intersect one of the major connectors that do, such as U.S. 52, U.S. 311 or N.C. 67. From eastbound Business 40, take the Cloverdale Avenue exit (Exit 4). Continue straight through the intersection onto Medical Center Blvd. Visitor parking is on the left. From westbound Business 40, take the Cloverdale Avenue exit (Exit 4A). At the end of the exit ramp turn right. At the first traffic light, turn left onto Medical Center Blvd. Visitor parking will be on the left.

bullet Reynolda Campus (campus parking)

The Reynolda campus is also easily accessible from Business 40. If arriving from the north/east and traveling on I-95 south to I-85 south, take I-40 west, then Business 40 into Winston-Salem. The Silas Creek Parkway exit is located on the north side of town. Take the north bound exit and follow the signs to Wake Forest. If you are arriving from the south/east and traveling north on I-77 to I-40 east, take Business 40 to the Silas Creek Parkway North exit and follow the signs. If traveling from the east or west along I-40, take the North bound exit onto Silas Creek Parkway and follow the signs to Wake Forest.

bullet Intercampus Road Map —

The two main campuses of Wake Forest University are located only 5 miles apart. The scenic drive will take you past the historic Reynolda Village, and the Reynolda House and Gardens. The university has an intercampus shuttle service available for visitors and employees who wish to make a quick trip to the other campus. There are also additional shuttle services available to the downtown research park (the medical school's Piedmont Triad Research Center, the new A1 Building, and the Bowman Gray Technical Center which is located within a quarter of a mile from the Reynolda campus.)
