The Graduate Program in Bioethics is not taking new students at this time.
The Biology Department offers programs leading to the MS and PhD degrees. We have over 20 graduate faculty members that represent the breadth of the biological sciences.
As part of Wake Forest’s commitment to academic excellence, it has built a strong chemistry graduate program that maintains those features which make the University unique, namely limited class sizes and close interaction between faculty and students.
The Communication Department houses one of the finest Masters’ programs in the country. We seek to provide our M. A. students with the individual attention and preparation they need to be highly sought after by, and successful in the nation’s best Ph.D. programs in communication.
The Department of Computer Science offers a program of study leading to the Master of Science degree in computer science. The program is designed to accommodate students seeking a terminal MS degree or preparation for entering a PhD program.
The program consists of a common core of courses to provide knowledge in eight areas: human growth and development, social and cultural foundations, helping relationships, group work, career and lifestyle development, appraisal, research and program evaluation, and professional orientation.
We want to make the WFU Counseling Programs accessible to working professionals who desire to complete a master’s degree in counseling or human services but cannot leave work for two years to complete the program on campus.
The Documentary Film Program brings together the storytelling passion and experience of three former members of the nationally acclaimed Documentary Institute at the University of Florida and Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Peter Gilbert.
We are a vibrant department where candidates are prepared to
become leaders in 21st century classrooms. We offer undergraduate and graduate programs including both coursework and extensive experiences in K-12 schools.
The Department of English at Wake Forest offers a Masters Program in preparation for doctoral study, for teaching at the advanced secondary level, and for developing advanced writing skills. Generous financial aid packages make a graduate degree in English at Wake Forest more affordable for our top applicants than Masters programs at most public universities.
The Department of Health and Exercise Science offers a 2 year program leading to a Master of Science degree. Our department has a research agenda focused on understanding the determinants and prevention of chronic disease and disability across the lifespan.
The ITS Program prepares professionals to work in the growing language industry and meet the communication challenges in a variety of fields – foreign affairs, media, business, law and healthcare delivery. Language pairs currently offered: Chinese-English and Spanish-English.
The Liberal Arts Studies program is not accepting new students at this time.
Students from both our undergraduate and graduate programs have successfully entered many different professional and academic programs and careers. While some have transitioned directly into mathematical Ph.D. programs, others have taken jobs in business (consulting and actuarial), education (both college and secondary education), industry (analysts and various computing activities), or government agencies (National Security Agency).
The Physics doctoral program offers a comprehensive course of study in classical and modern physics, with intensive training in one of the frontier areas of modern research, including biophysics, nano-technology and materials physics, condensed matter physics, gravitation and particle physics and optical and laser physics. Our research facilities are state-of-the-art and Wake Forest Physics Department faculty are committed to developing their students as outstanding scientists and researchers.
The Department of Psychology at Wake Forest University stresses both the commitment to classroom teaching characteristic of the liberal arts college and the commitment to scholarship characteristic of the research university. Currently, the Department has 19 full-time and 7 part-time faculty members whose areas of expertise span the full range of psychological science.
The Department for the Study of Religions is not taking new students at this time.
The Department of Statistical Sciences offers the degree of M.S. in Statistics. The program is designed to accommodate both students seeking a terminal degree for work in industry as well as those seeking preparation for Ph.D. in Statistics or Biostatistics at another institution. The degree requirements are flexible and permit both thesis and coursework programs of study, with opportunities to engage in research as well as data analysis competitions.
The Master of Arts in Sustainability Graduate Program is a distinctive, interdisciplinary one-year program that combines the social sciences, humanities, natural sciences, management and law. Courses taught will included guest lecturers and off-site facility visits.
